I'm involved in a national student led effort to network students and 
youth who are working on campaigns related to clean energy, climate 
change, and energy justice. Our two main goals are to build a support 
network for student and youth energy campaigners and to use our 
network to build collective power for change in our schools. A longer 
description of the campaign is at the bottom of this email.

I'm wondering if you would be interested in being a local contact for 
our national energy campaign and sharing your knowledge and 
experiences with others working on similar efforts. If not, do you 
know if any others in your group would be interested in this project?

Youth Power Shift

SHIFT THE ENERGY SYSTEM ON YOUR CAMPUS! 

Students and youth all over the country are making their campuses and 
communities more sustainable by pushing for clean energy, efficiency 
and green building standards. Together, we can defeat the greedy 
corporate imperialists influencing our government and degrading our 
quality of life. 

Youth Power Shift aims to institutionalize energy conservation, 
efficiency, and clean power on our campuses and in our communities by 
strengthening our grassroots network, organizing tools, and building 
collective energy. We are united with organizations that are combating 
climate change, struggling for environmental justice, and pressing for 
new energy solutions. In spite of the Bush Administration's attempts 
to re-fuel our dependence on dirty technologies, students and youth 
are leading the way towards a clean energy revolution. 

Now is the time for Youth to unite for a Power Shift towards energy 
justice!
